Dr. Barry K. Jarnagin – Founder & Chief Medical Advisor of PneumaHealth Ministries, is doubly boarded in ob/gyn andUrogynecology with over 40 years of experience, specializing in patient-centered, minimally invasive treatments. His expertise in community-based medicine, healthcare accessibility, and medical education is central to PneumaHealth’s mission of eliminating healthcare disparities through faith-based engagement.
Leadership & Strategic Development
Throughout his career, Dr. Jarnagin has led the development, expansion, and transformation of healthcare programs, applying his expertise in clinic operations, community health strategy, and nonprofit governance—all highly relevant to PneumaHealth. His tenure as Director of Women’s Services at the University of Tennessee Family Practice Centerestablished new clinical services, a formalized educational curriculum, and a women’s health fellowship, fostering a coordinated approach to healthcare delivery across a regional hospital, family practice residency program, and public health departments. During his time at UT, he organized 19 county health departments that utilized the hospital organizing and improving women’s healthcare bringing women’s primary care locally through the health department.
Dr. Jarnagin has worked in all major healthcare systems across the United States—federal healthcare, state healthcare, private academic healthcare, hospital-based healthcare, private practice healthcare, and has collaborated and consulted in the development of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). His firsthand experience in each sector’s benefits and limitations informs PneumaHealth’s approach to creating an integrated, patient-centered model that maximizes healthcare accessibility and effectiveness.
At Saint Thomas Health Services (Ascension Health), Dr. Jarnagin developed the Center for Pelvic Health, integrating clinical service lines, education, and research. He established a nationally recognized fellowship for physicians, secured accreditation from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and advanced training programs for nurse practitioners in collaboration with Vanderbilt School of Nursing. His leadership ensured multidisciplinary engagement, high-quality patient care, and long-term program sustainability.
Healthcare Innovation & Program Development
Dr. Jarnagin has consistently pioneered faith-integrated healthcare models, aligning with PneumaHealth’s vision. While serving as Quality Control Officer for Vanderbilt-Williamson County, he collaborated across specialties—including primary care, cardiology, general surgery, hematology, and obstetrics—to develop evidence-based safety protocols and coordinated treatment pathways. His strategic oversight strengthened healthcare quality, patient access, and operational effectiveness, shaping approaches that mirror PneumaHealth’s commitment to community-based care excellence.
His prior Navy career began his leadership roles in healthcare accessibility and service delivery, as he founded the Urogynecology Division at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and served as its first Division Director. In this role, he built a comprehensive program from the ground up, overseeing clinical service expansion, advanced medical equipment procurement, and resident education initiatives, leading to rapid program growth and enhanced military healthcare solutions.
Facility Design & Community Engagement
Recognizing the importance of functional healthcare environments, Dr. Jarnagin has led multiple hospital expansion projects, collaborating with architects, construction teams, and financial leadersto design state-of-the-art outpatient centers and specialized surgical facilities. At Goodlark Hospital (now Horizon Medical Center), he directed the development of a women’s health wing, integrating a labor, delivery, and recovery unit with surgical suites and outpatient clinics—an approach that reflects PneumaHealth’s vision for accessible, community-driven healthcare spaces.
His extensive experience in community engagement, nonprofit strategy, and institutional partnerships uniquely positions him to lead PneumaHealth Ministries in its mission to reduce healthcare disparities through faith-based solutions. His ability to blend medical expertise, administrative leadership, and program development ensures PneumaHealth’s long-term sustainability, operational growth, and impact on underserved populations.
After his work at UT, he joined Vanderbilt University as the first Medical Director of the new nurse midwifery program leading its beginning and growth. He was the first GYN Division Director at Vanderbilt and rebuilt the residency outpatient gyn clinics which still exist today.

Dr. Yukmila M. Soriano - Clinic Operations Leader
Dr. Yukmila M. Soriano is a highly accomplished internal medicine physician, healthcare consultant, and health system administrator, with extensive experience in preventive care and clinical operations. A graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Soriano has dedicated her career to patient-centered care, medical training, and improving healthcare accessibility, particularly in underserved communities—aligning closely with PneumaHealth Ministries' mission to provide faith-based, community-driven healthcare solutions.
During medical school, Dr. Soriano engaged in multiple community-based projects, serving patients in the Bronx and developing initiatives that emphasized disease prevention and health equity. She later completed her internal medicine residency at Columbia University Medical Center, where she honed her expertise in clinical medicine, patient safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration—key skills that directly support her leadership in clinic operations.

Over his career, Chuck has held senior roles in executive recruiting, leadership development, and service optimization, supporting high-growth consulting firms, healthcare organizations, financial services, telecommunications, and technology enterprises. Holding a Master’s in Human Resource Development from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Tennessee, Chuck continues to leverage his expertise in faith-based healthcare innovation, leadership development, and operational strategy to strengthen PneumaHealth’s mission and impact.
